WANNA KNOW WHY PLANTS?

Writer's picture: Kris CalmeseKris Calmese

HERE ARE SOME HEALTHY WORDS OF INCREDIBLE IMPORTANCE:

Gut Flora support

Phytochemicals

Antioxidants

Fiber

Branch chain amino acids

Vitamins

Minerals

Alkaline

HERE ARE SOME HEALTHY FOODS THAT OFFER ALL OF THOSE HEALTHY WORDS:

Small red beans

Beets

Carrots

Apples

Parsley

Cucumber

Asparagus

Collards

Mustard greens

Phytochemicals are the naturally occurring content of the color present in all consumable plant matter. They are known to help the human health in a myriad of ways. Antioxidants are substances that can prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals, unstable molecules that the body produces as a reaction to environmental and other pressures. Free radicals play a crucial role in heart disease and many cancers.

EXAMPLE 1:

The USDA conducted a study that proved that richly colored beans offer a high degree of antioxidant protection. The small red beans, shown below, are rated the highest, just ahead of blueberries, in antioxidant protection. Studies also show that low antioxidant levels are directly connected to Rheumatoid Arthritis.

EXAMPLE 2:

Beets contain an enormous amount of phytochemical and antioxidant properties. Betacyanin is the phytochemical that is attributed to providing the rich, crimson color. Studies show that naturally occurring betacyanin is a powerful anticancer agent.

Along with the phytochemical and antioxidant protection, these alkaline-rich foods also offer many health properties that are beneficial to a healthy inside and out.

The naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, fiber and branch chain amino acids are profound in the healthy reconstruction of the body. BCAAs (branch chain amino acids - the building blocks of protein) in produce are assimilated at the cellular level of the mitochondria of the cells present in the area of need, as opposed to animal products who's proteins are first sent to the kidneys for breaking down. Consuming produce over carcasses creating a "break" for the kidneys to allow them to recover from the toxic breakdowns they are all-too-often forced into all day everyday via the Standard American (SAD) diet.

I could go on all day about the fiber content and the incredible affect that this broad, vast subject has on human physiological health. Printed in the Encyclopedia of Healing Foods

(Michael Murray * ND) are some of the beneficial effects of dietary fiber that is found present in produce:

These benefits help prevent colon diseases, obesity, and diabetes. Fiber also helps bring an alkaline balance to the body, promoting the reduction of acidity in the body resulting from the average S.A.D. diet.

Your life, health, well-being and comfort are all directly connected to the quality of content of what we consume regularly. The intestinal flora is a community of "good bacteria" responsible for countless health benefits to the body, and also counterproductive to the body depending on the quality of consumption. Alkaline-rich, unprocessed or lowly processed vegetation, their leaves, stems, flowers, roots and seeds are all highly beneficial to the health of your Flora community. Did I mention that the number of living intestinal floral bacteriae are around 10 times more than the cells that make up your physical body? The human microbiome includes around 100 trillion bacterial cells and that an adult human has around 10-30 trillion cells. This community can help the body fight cancers, inflammatory responses, virii, bad bacteria and yeast all at once, plus many other things that I couldn't possibly fit into this piece.

Please feel free to do your own research.

Every 4-6 years, you have a brand new body(other than the brain which can take up to a decade) and the quality of that building process depends upon the quality of content of our consumption. It is better to aim to patently rebuild oneself for years than to try to change your body quickly; one effort is life-changing, the latter, a waste of time pretending that change is here.

Be the change you wish to see in YOUR world.
