Protein bars are a massive billion dollar business by themselves. As a result of the increasing demand for "to go" protein options, every major candy, cereal, supplement manufacturer in the country produces their own version of a "bar" with higher or elevated protein content. 100% of these ingredients are machine processed and very few are completely honest about the effects of the additives in those "bars". Over the years the food market, on the grand scale, has created certain word patterns (based on consumer miseducation) to gain massive sales.
Example: Brown "wheat bread" is of no significant nutritional good in comparison to regular white bread. Why? Because the factory that creates "wheat bread" uses the same harsh nutrition-less gluten, sugar, caking agents, conditioners and preservatives found in your traditional white bread. Brown "wheat bread" was made simply to play on the minds of consumers who don't understand the difference between "wheat bread" and 100% whole wheat(nutritionally complete wheat). As a result of that production, millions of nutritionally inadequate loaves are sold yearly.

The terms fat-free, low-fat, lite, light and 0 cholesterol are interchangeable for marketing purposes alone, and almost completely moot to the actual affect of the product (may cause fat gain though labeled otherwise). We do know this: that life has grown far too detailed and complex to try to make sure that every single thing we eat doesn't contribute to something terrible, i.e. cancer, heart disease, poor tissue development, etc. Thus, I've put together this piece about my omega-3 rich protein bites!
OMEGA 3'S
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential to a healthy diet. Omega 3's can help reduce LDL (low density lipoproteins/bad cholesterol), increase HDL (high density lipoproteins/good cholesterol) to balance blood pressure, helps fight depression and anxiety, improve neurological function, reduce bodily inflammatory responses, helps reduce symptoms of ADHD, help fight autoimmune diseases, help fight age related mental decline and alzheimers disease. SN: Chia seeds have all that PLUS 20% DV of fiber in just one tablespoon, to improve digestion while helping prevent colorectal cancers.
RECIPE:
This easy, simple recipe makes about 16-2" bites.:
1 cup oats 1 cup peanut butter 4 tablespoons of chia seeds 4 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds 4-6 tablespoons of hemp seeds 2-3oz dried cranberries 2 tablespoons of coconut shavings, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon of honey 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stirring until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Use your cleaned hands to mash the mixture into 2" balls.
If the mixture is too dry, add more peanut butter; too moist, more oats.

Want to make it a bit more treat-like😉?
Add 1/4 cup of 100% cacao powder, 2 more tablespoons of honey and unsweetened 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips (70% cacao).😍
